Revision Assignment

The Revision Assignment is an assignment from the final writing class of the minor, WRIT 3500. For this assignment I was asked to choose a piece of writing from the past three years and completely transform it into a different genre. I chose one of my favorite research papers I have written, a paper from Sexualities and the Law. Sexualities and the Law is a Sociology class I took my first year at DU. It required me to think critically about Law, but more specifically as it related to sex and sexuality. For this research paper I was asked to choose three of the Supreme Court cases we studied over the course of the quarter and analyze them to understand better how a certain aspect of sex and sexuality moves the law. I chose behavior. I decided to turn my research paper into an op-ed. I altered the piece a little bit so that it could fit the genre better, and added some new information regarding a more recent case. You can see the complete tranformtion here.
